Book Club: The Language Of Things

When you look around at your house or apartment, how much of the things in your space define you? How many of the pieces that you have come to acquire reflect your view of the world or how you think it should be. Many of us can’t afford to surround ourselves with all of the things we want but everyone has one or more objects that mean something to them. Often there is a story behind them but sometimes what makes an item desirable is something implicit in its design.

Deyan Sudjic reveals insights as to what compels us to desire the objects we do. As the director of London’t Design Museum he has a firm understanding of the intersection of design, commerce, and art.

The book is pretty short so we hope you don’t mind starting mid-month.
